Happy St. Patrick's Day
B: It's good that God made the grass green because on this day everything is supposed to be green.
On a side note, I am blessed that Ben has teachers who LOVE what they do. Today, Miss Molly went "golfing" and I got greeted with a "Top 'o the Morning to ya!" from her twin sister Bridget from Ireland.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!

Reflections from a McD's Playplace
My Thoughts from Wednesday, April 23rd:
- Why can the only shade be found if you sit on the ground near the slide with your back against the playplace railing?
- When did my son become such a tattletale/rule follower? I hear him reminding every child the rules they are breaking and if he's not happy with their response then he's ratting on them to their parents. Also, when did he start to think he was the boss of every child?
- Ben came out to get a drink. What's that smell? Oh crap, Ben's pooped in his pants, again...

So Far So Good
Ben's been accident free up to today. We had a bunch of corn on the cob this weekend so his stool was a little looser than normal and he got a little bit of it in his underwear before putting the bulk of it in the potty. I'm chalking today up as a learning experience.

By Jove! I Think He's Got It!
Fortunately, Ben did start pooping again on Wednesday after not pooping since the Sunday before and he's been pooping once or twice a day ever since!
Today marked a week of pooping in the potty (with no accidents on top of that) so we celebrated by having lunch at Chuck E. Cheese.

We Have Splashdown!
After almost a most of month of potty training h-e-double hockey sticks, Ben has been pooping in the potty since Friday morning. He's been peeing like a champ for many weeks and has been keeping his big boy underwear dry. He's been napping in his big boy underwear with no accidents. He's also been keeping his pull-ups dry overnight for the last few nights. A couple more nights of dry pull-ups and we'll let him sleep overnight in his big boy underwear.
The only problem now is withholding. He hasn't pooped since Sunday afternoon. If he doesn't poop tomorrow I'm not sure what to do.

My Baby Doesn't Want Me Anymore! Sniff Sniff
Mike and I take turns putting Ben to sleep. We both get him into his PJs and whoever isn't rocking with him gives him a hug and kiss and hands him into the other parent who is sitting in the rocker. So I sat down and Mike was hugging him goodnight and Ben would not let Mike go. I got up to let Mike sit down and Mike passed him to me and Ben pitched a fit. He calmed down enough when he realized that all he had to do was give me a hug and a kiss and he'd go back to Daddy. When I put him in Mike's lap, he was content. Does my baby not love me anymore?
